To help you prepare for the Relay, Outside Expeditions is sponsoring a series of
FREE training clinics in May.

Cost, Registration & FundraisingEach person racing, whether solo or as a team member, must purchase a minimum of $50.00 worth of raffle tickets (2 books = 10 tickets) upon registration. This replaces any "registration fee" that may have been paid in the past. A participant can put any name they like on the tickets, or choose to re-sell them. Raffle ticket stubs will be turned in on race day. The prizes are: Race registration may be done:
- a) Online.

OR - b) In person, weekdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm, at the Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI office:

All participants must sign a waiver (click here to download) prior to the race. Waivers may be returned with ticket money or on race day.
The Red Island Relay event organization is being headed by Ardelle Hynes (902-963-3366) and Ken Sampson. The Red Island Relay is a fundraising event for charity. Beneficiaries are the Canadian Red Cross and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI.
The Red Island Relay Features
- Chip timing by Atlantic Chip Timing giving accurate and immediate results.
- Race course designed so each leg will start and finish at Brudenell Provincial Park.
- Raffle tickets instead of pledges.
Course
The race will consist of 5 legs:
Leg 1: Run. Approx. 7.75km
Leg 2: Road Bike. Approx. 27 km.
Leg 3: Run. Approx. 10km.
Leg 4: Mountain Bike. Approx. 20km.
Leg 5: Canoe or Kayak. Approx. 6km
Each leg will start and finish at the Brudenell Provincial Park Activity Centre.

Divisions
Participants are encouraged to wear something that identifies their team like team shirts or bandanas. This is great for team spirit and spectators alike!
Six-Member (6-M) Teams
* 6-M Female: All members must be female
* 6-M Male: All members must be male
* 6-M Mixed: Minimum of two members of each sex
Two-Member (2-M) Teams
* 2-M Female: Both members must be female
* 2-M Male: Both members must be male
* 2-M Mixed: One member of each sex
Solo (1-M) Competitor
* Solo Female: must be female
* Solo Male: must be male
